Digital
Betacam is the chosen acquisition format at Channel 6 Television.
"Digibeta" is without doubt the foremost acquisition format for
standard definition broadcast television, offering production in both 4:3
and 16:9 aspect ratios with digital audio.
This format was developed by Sony for
high-end drama and documentary production, as the first viable alternative
to cinematographic film. |

| Sony's
DVW series of cameras are highly configurable and incorporate the most
advanced image sensors and signal processing available anywhere in the SD
format. Digital Betacam cameras have a contrast ratio exceeding most other
video cameras giving the cameraman the ability to faithfully reproduce
fine details in both the near-black and near-peak white ends of the
contrast range. |

| Besides
our primary Digital Betacam EFP unit, Channel
6 Television has two Betacam SP EFP units. All EFP units are complete with
Vinten support equipment, SQN mixers, Arri and Berkey lighting and lots
more. Furthermore, our EFP units can also draw on additional equipment
from our studio facility and grip stores - including dollies, pedestals, a
5m camera crane and a wide range of location lighting and grip equipment. |

Our
standard EFP unit vehicle is a rugged Land
Rover Defender 110" CSW with space for up to 7 crew and equipment -
ideal for all assignments in Denmark and neighbouring countries.
Channel 6 Television has many years experience with production logistics -
we are able to field and support a crew almost anywhere in the world. |

Regardless
of whether the assignment offers us the best hotels or camping under the
Arctic sky at minus 40 degrees, we have the necessary equipment, clothing,
experience and endurance to undertake the assignment!
This experience and endurance is proven by over 20 years Arctic production
experience, where the climate and conditions place exacting demands on both
camera and crew. |

Whilst
Channel 6 has many years experience of all production disciplines,
including studio and OB production, it is the "hand-made"
single-camera EFP production that is our favourite challenge.
The story is created one shot at a time, with attention to detail and
under optimal working conditions - regardless of whether we field a large
crew with a lot of equipment, or a one-man-band with the minimum of
hardware. |
