Duplication - VHS / CD / DVD

Duplication suite - master VTR racks		 Whilst most major feature film distributors have abandoned the VHS format, there remain many users for whom VHS is still an important distribution format - for smaller duplication runs, where DVD authoring and glass-mastering are too expensive or time-consuming, or for distribution to regions where the DVD format is not yet widespread amongst the target audience.

Channel 6 Television has many years experience with professional duplication. We have recently upgraded our duplication suite so that we can serve existing and new clients better - especially since the closure of some of the major VHS duplication houses.

Our edit suites can prepare special - duplication masters with trailers, repeat- masters or with subtitles, and we can duplicate from the master racks or from adjacent edit suites.
Besides duplication to VHS, the duplication suite can also handle dub copying and basic editing between all master formats.

The duplication facility uses the best professional duplication decks from Sony. We can handle duplication from all popular professional and broadcast videotape formats.

The facility can produce over 1500 copies per day. We offer a fast and professional service - often within 24 hours for orders up to 500 copies.

For VHS releases, Channel 6 Television can supply the graphic design and production of covers, inserts, labels and other printed material to be packed with the cassette. For small production runs we offer an economical DTP service, for larger runs we offer traditional printing methods.

The company also handles the fulfilment, packaging and distribution of copies - even directly to the end user. For some productions we can offer duplication in stages as orders are received.

For many years Channel 6 Television has manufactured CD and DVD copies for the company's own productions. Since 2000 
we have also handled authoring, duplication and distribution for others.

Both new and existing productions can be digitalised in up to 50 megabit quality. After digitising, the production can be encoded and authored with an encoding that offers the highest possible playback compatibility.
For clients with older productions that still have a commercial value, we offer a digitising service to give these productions a new lease of life - the original master is digitised and where necessary colour processed to increase the video quality, if required older analogue-produced graphics and captions are replaced with digital graphics, and the audio tracks are digitally sweetened. The production is re-mastered, transcoded and authored and is ready for distribution on CD or DVD - and can once again serve the client organisation.
Digitised productions can also be transcoded to low bandwidth formats for screening directly from a client's website.

The company also delivers design and layout for CD and DVD covers, inserts, brochures and on-disc printing.
