Workshop

| Our
900 sq. ft. workshop is situated adjacent to the studio, with plenty of
space for the construction and finishing of scenery and properties for our
productions. |
|
| The
workshop is well equipped with a wide range of hand and power tools for
metalwork and carpentry, as well as compressed air tools for
paint-spraying. |
|
| Since
the opening of our studio facilities in 1985, the workshop has delivered
scenery and other structures to many Channel 6 Television productions.
Additionally most of the facilities technical steel structures and
equipment racks have been constructed in our workshop. |
|
| During
the winter months part of the workshop area is used as garage space for
the company's unit vehicles, so that preparation and loading for
production can be undertaken indoors and the vehicles and equipment are
protected again moisture and low temperatures. The company's vehicles are
also regularly maintained in the workshop. |
|
The
workshop can also be cleared to create space for "dirty" studio
productions - so that recordings involving water, dirty materials and
certain types of open flame - that are not permissible in the studio
may be handled here.
Sets may be designed and constructed to span both the studio and workshop
areas - to provide extra space, or enable the construction of sets with
access and a view to daylight and an outdoor environment. |

| Our
workshop plant and equipment are the perfect supplement to the studio in
relation to set-building, rigging and preparation for both our own
productions and those of our clients and partners. |
|
| In
contrary to popular perception, studio production can often be a better
and more economical alternative to location shooting - even for a low
budget production. Within the studio we can work undisturbed by neighbours
or passers-by, we can create day or night and silence or noise as the
production demands, and sets may be built to allow for camera movements
and angles that would be impossible to achieve on location. |

| There
are therefore many productions for which we recommend a studio approach -
with set construction and finishing in our own workshop - as the best
solution for the production. |
|
| The
company also supplies workshop services, such as scenery and properties
construction, to others. The workshop is also available for hire - with or
without the studio facilities - to others. |
