The above prices are subject to alteration in the event of fluctuations in the cost of raw media and printing consumables.
All DVD duplication is undertaken with low-speed burning (max. x8 speed) in our 1:11 duplication towers equipped with Pioneer writer drives. We use only high-quality Verbatim raw media for duplication. All copies are subject to an automatic verification after duplication as well as quality control for playback compatibility on a variety of PC and dedicated DVD player test platforms. Our duplication prices reflect that this high quality process is slower than unverified "max-speed" burning.
For orders exceeding 100 copies of the same title we can offer replication via glass-mastering from one of our specialist suppliers. Glass-mastering ensures the optima playback compatibility as well as reduced unit cost per copy with repeat orders, but requires a longer production period. We do not offer glass-mastering for orders of less than 1000 copies of the same title.
DVD playback compatibility is a complicated subject - for more information please see our webpage about quality parameters here.

General terms and conditions for CD/DVD duplication
Orders for DVD duplication from a customer-supplied DVD master assume that the DVD master itself is 100% compliant with the relevant standards for authoring and mastering. Duplication from the customer's master DVD is a "what-you-send-is-what-you-get" service and the neither the customers data - nor the underlying media files or authoring will be inspected or modified in any way.

Digitalization and encoding of customer-supplied video master tapes or dub copies is undertaken normally without any adjustment of the video and audio signals and their respective levels. Master tapes must be furnished with an EBU colour bar and 1KHz  test tone on both audio tracks according to the EBU standard (Colour bar with 100% peak white level, 75% chroma sturation and 0% set-up/black level and audio test tone as 1KHz at 0VU / PPM4 corresponding to +4Dbm 775mV for a 600 ohm line signal) The audio tracks must be correctly assigned (channel 1 = left, channel2 = right) and have the correct phase relationship and mono compatibility.

Unless the customer's instructions or the capacity of the DVD media dictates otherwise, all DVD encoding will be at a Constant Bit Rate (CBR) of 6 Mb/s for the video component and MP2 stereo audio at 224Kb/s bit rate. (PCM wave available by request). Please note that for longer duration programme material and compilation DVD's a lower video bit rate may be necessary.

The prices shown above for DVD duplication are for "DVD5" releases on single-sided, single-layer DVD-R media with a capacity of 4.7GB (4.707.319.808 bytes). For prices for other DVD formats please contact us.

When receiving video and/or audio material for duplication we require written documentation that the relevant owners of copyright and other related rights have given their permission for the duplication of the material. Such documentation would normally be a letter from the copyright owner of the production. In undertaking duplication work for the customer, the customer assumes all responsibility for the clearance of any copyright and other rights related to the material and agrees to hold Channel 6 Television free of any responsibility to any third party with respect to any rights relating to the material.

The duplication prices given here assume duplication with a maximal burning speed of 8x (10.56 MB/s) to ensure optimal playback compatibility. Channel 6 television does not offer duplication at any speed exceeding x8.

All services other than the actual duplication price will be billed according to the time taken for the job - at the appropriate rates shown above. We are pleased to submit a fixed-price quotation for any authoring or duplication order, though only on the basis of supplied master or video/audio material which we have received for screening and technical evaluation. Such evaluation will incur a screening charge at the above hourly rate, regardless of whether the customer places a subsequent order or not.

Duplication from the customer's supplied DVD master will be undertaken as quickly as possible following receipt of the order and master. Orders that comprise authoring, encoding or transcoding work prior to duplication will be completed to the master stage, at which time an approval copy of the DVD will be sent to the customer for approval. On receipt of the customer's approval, the duplication will be undertaken as quickly as possible. Any additional work due to any changes requested by the customer after the approval for duplication has been given - including any new duplication runs, will be charged to the customer at the appropriate rates given in this price list.

Channel 6 Television guarantees the quality of the company's work and all CD and DVD duplication copies. Prior to delivery the production will be tested on a representative range of computers and DVD players to ensure optimal playback compatibility. Any errors or omissions in the work undertaken or the duplication copies delivered that can be shown to cause less than reasonable playback compatibility will be replaced free-of-charge. We draw the customers attention to our published information about playback compatibility, particularly those factors which can influence playback compatibility which lie wholly outside the company's control - and therefore outside the terms of any express or implied warranty from Channel 6 Television.

Information about playback compatibility is available here.

Channel 6 Television reserves the right to alter these prices and terms and conditions at any time, though naturally without effect for orders already placed and accepted.
We will be pleased to submit a detailed quotation for any order - please contact us for further details.
